Originally from Dieppe, New Brunswick, Sophie Richard earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the Université de Moncton in 2024 before continuing her studies at the University of Ottawa, where she completed a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2026. During her training, she completed extensive fieldwork in various practice settings, gaining experience with a diverse clientele and developing a flexible approach centered on each individual's needs and goals.

Sophie places great importance on active listening and building trusting relationships with her clients. She favors a collaborative, personalized approach that takes into account each person's needs, priorities, and capabilities. She aims to support her clients in achieving their goals while fostering their independence, participation, and daily well-being.

Outside of her professional practice, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and exploring new destinations, and engaging in creative activities. These interests help her maintain a balanced lifestyle—a value she also seeks to integrate into her occupational therapy practice.
