Clinique Collabor'Action, located in Dieppe, New Brunswick, offers
Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy services to people of all ages. Our bilingual services are offered in the clinic, at home, and on a virtual platform, allowing us to serve people from all over the province.
Our Values
Our practice values collaboration during assessment and during intervention in speech therapy and occupational therapy. Direct collaboration with the client, their family, and members of the healthcare team allows us to offer services that are individualized, specific and essential to our clients’ well-being.
Our Story
Launched in 2022, the Clinique Collabor'Action is the realization of the dream of three university friends. During our individual careers, we had the chance to work within teams that included various specialists who collaborate in order to offer the best service to their customers. Our goal was to bring to New Brunswick this interprofessional approach that we had the chance to observe and practise across Canada and even outside the country.
Therefore, we decided to open the Clinique Collabor'Action with the aim of offering speech therapy and occupational therapy services focused on:

Valérie Mallard
Speech-Language Pathologist
Valérie Mallard obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in French studies at the Université de Moncton in 2015. She then continued her studies at the University of Ottawa where she obtained a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2017. She has been practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Moncton/Dieppe area since leaving university. She works as a school speech therapist, in addition to starting a career in private practice in 2019.

For several years, her professional dream has been to work in a clinic where several health specialists work as a team to ensure the best care for these clients. Valérie works primarily with preschool and school-aged children in expressive and receptive language. She also addresses difficulties with sound pronunciation and articulation. Over the years, she has developed a field of expertise in fluency disorders such as stuttering and cluttering in young adolescents and adults. She is also of interest in vocal health issues in people who make heavy use of their voice in the course of their work (teachers, entertainers, singers, actors). Since 2022, she has been offering training on vocal health and the prevention of voice problems for people practicing her professions as well as for young people in the field of the arts.
Madeleine Léger
Speech-Language Pathologist
Madeleine Léger obtained her bachelor's degree with honors in psychology at the Université de Moncton in 2016. Her studies continued with the completion of a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019 at Dalhousie University, from where she had the opportunity to learn in diverse clinics in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Barbados. Since 2019, Madeleine has practiced as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the hospital system in the Moncton area and then continued her career in the Northwest Territories in various community settings, including health centers and schools.

To this day, Madeleine provides speech therapy services to clients of all ages, though she specializes with preschoolers and adults. Madeleine is very interested in the development of both receptive and expressive language as well as the development of speech in young children. She is also interested in acquired disorders related to language, speech, and swallowing in adults following a neurological event (stroke, head trauma, etc.) . Her career path has led her to value person and family-centered care. Madeleine also loves to learn and always seeks to expand her knowledge in order to perfect her clinical skills, and strives to offer services that are based on evidence.
Étienne Doucet
Occupational Therapist
Étienne Doucet obtained a bachelor's degree in recreation in 2010 and a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2016 at the Université de Moncton. He continued his studies and obtained a master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2019 at the University of Ottawa. During his studies, he had the opportunity to learn in various clinics in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Barbados. Since 2019, Étienne has practiced occupational therapy in the pediatric public system in several regions of New Brunswick. He then pursued his passion for discovery and occupational therapy by working in the Northwest Territories providing various services for the community of Fort Smith. During his experience in the Northwest Territories, he had the chance to diversify his experience by working with various populations.

To this day, Étienne provides occupational therapy services to clients of all ages. He has a particular interest in preschool children as well as mental health for all ages. His intervention style aims to increase independence, self-esteem and self-satisfaction and to assist in the discovery of meaningful occupation by its clients. Etienne offers collaborative, evidence-based, and client and family-centered care..
