Originally from Edmundston, Karine Nadeau obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in linguistics at the Université de Moncton in 2010. She then went to the University of Ottawa to obtain her master's degree in speech therapy in 2012. Karine is also clinically certified with Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Canada (OAC) as well as a member of the Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of New Brunswick (AOANB).
Karine's career began in the hospital environment in the Chaleur region, with a wonderful team that provided her with a solid foundation in the profession. Then, the family life of Karine, a military spouse, and the various ailments, led her to work in the private sector as well as in schools, in different cities in Quebec and to see a wide variety of clients. She also led workshops on language development as well as the use of good vocal hygiene.
Mother of four children, Karine now lives in the Oromocto region and wants to continue the work that she is passionate about, in the private sector, in order to better reconcile work-family life, and offer the region's French-speaking community access to services in their language. She is particularly interested in the development of receptive and expressive language, the development of sounds and speech, orofacial-myofunctional disorder, both in children and adults, as well as voice disorders and stuttering. Acquired language disorders have long been his passion. It’s a clientele that he would be happy to meet again if the opportunity allows!
Karine believes in teamwork, which always involves the parent and the family. Together, we can make a difference for people with language and speech challenges! This is why she chooses to work with the Collabor’Action team which aligns with her values!
