ÉTIENNE DOUCET
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Étienne Doucet obtained a bachelor's degree in recreation in 2010 and a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2016 at the Université de Moncton. He continued his studies and obtained a master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2019 at the University of Ottawa. During his studies, he had the opportunity to learn in various clinics in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Barbados. Since 2019, Étienne has  practiced occupational therapy in the pediatric public system in several regions of New Brunswick. He then pursued his passion for discovery and occupational therapy by working in the Northwest Territories providing various services for the community of Fort Smith. During his experience in the Northwest Territories, he had the chance to diversify his experience by working with various populations.

To this day, Étienne provides occupational therapy services to clients of all ages. He has a particular interest in preschool children as well as mental health for all ages. His intervention style aims to increase independence, self-esteem and self-satisfaction and to assist in the discovery of meaningful occupation by its clients. Etienne offers collaborative, evidence-based, and client and family-centered care.
